Показать описание
DCS WWII: Europe 1944 will be the first product in the DCS line to use the EDGE terrain engine. Built to the latest bleeding-edge technology standards, EDGE is already used in several commercial pilot training simulators. It is now coming to PC. Featuring extremely detailed graphics and fine-tuned for realistic feeling of flight at low altitude, EDGE is now being transformed for WWII battlefields. We are showing some early tests with bunkers, trenches, and cliff faces.

Please follow the kickstarter campaign:

Lots of possibilities for this terrain engine. It's the details on the ground that can make or break the experience when flying low. I hope this means no more bland, featureless landscapes but living and vibrant environments. Stuff going on, the war proceeding all around us as we pass through. If you can create an emotional impact of the terrible destruction going on beneath us then you will be doing well Luthier, but please get some sleep - you look knackered man. Thank you for your efforts.

The landscape at 03:10 is what it must look like!! Looks very realistic! I know its only in the Alpha mode still, but please Luthier dont do the same mistake with the turquoise green landscape and too bright trees as in the first version of Clod!
In general it must look darker than was shown in the video.
Good luck with the project and I am a hardcore sponsor of your project!

I've back this for a big chunk of change. I really hope it reaches it's goal as the P-51D is a great module.

I note the Sea Vixen poster on your wall. That was the first aircraft I worked on in the RAF.  Hope all is well in the DCS office and good luck with the sim

Very nice to meet the team working on this!

Indeed. The current engine uses one core for sound and the other for everything else. We need the info if there will be an improvement in this area, not just the visual aspects.

For me, I'm waiting for the Ka-52 tandem cockpit Kickstarter Project -- and hoping the $10K level includes Anya as my co-pilot/gunner ;)

Seriously -- looks like a great team working on EDGE -- keep up the good work!

Why do the people still hate on the Cliffs of Dover colours. IMHO CloD terrain looks bloody amazing. It was so bright because there was no weather implemented and it was always sunny with clear sky. Have you ever been outside during summer when the weather is sunny? Does everything needs to be in grey-brown so that it will look realistic?

It can work on a Mac, depending on your Mac's hardware specifications. You need a decent processor, and I advise you to have a separate graphics card, not a HD graphics 4000 series or something like that. I would say that your graphics card needs a minimum of 1gb of VRAM, and your computer itself a minimum of 8GB of RAM. Also, you NEED Windows 7 64bit on your computer, which you can get using Bootcamp. Take a look at some of the following equipment: TrackIR 5, joystick (HOTAS) and rudder pedals
