I used to love this when I was in school, one of the reasons I wanted to keep playing guitar. He's come such a long way as a YouTuber and he's still killing it

After ages of thinking I have come to the conclusion that no, I do not need a girlfriend. I need a Mesa Boogie instead. Though getting one is equally difficult to finding a girlfriend.

The tone here is better than the actual recorded song.

I'm so glad this doesn't sound gainy or muddy. I've heard plenty of people dial in the wrong tone on dual recs but this is spot on.

That's just one of the best metal tones I've ever heard. Perfection. The Throttle box pedal was not even close to sounding like this.

The mesa boogie dual rectum-frier. What a great amp

I've watched this gentleman play this song many, many times now (it's marked as one of my YouTube favorites) and I'm most impressed with the unexpected arpeggios at the 1:20 mark and also that gut-punching, beat your head on the stage riff that comes in at about the 2:00 minute mark. And I'm here to tell you with more than 31 years of experience in dealing with guitar toys that there is NOTHING else in the guitar world that sounds like a Mesa Boogie Rectifier (Dual or Triple) into a Boogie 4x12 Rec cabinet for THIS particular kind of sound. Rock on, dude! Sounds great! Bravo! Excellent licks. Love it...

A beast of an amp. Played it today while testing out a schecter 7 and didn't even have to sit there and tweak it, just played big power chords and enjoyed every second of this amp

I love that you literally post every bit of settings you use in these videos. It helps SOOO much when trying to create a set up! I just got my first Mesa not too long ago, and being used to Orange Amplifiers, this helps a ton on getting the tone I want!

It's in the description. Also, he doesn't use the pedal for its distortion, he uses it as a boost. Drive at 0% and Level at 100%, you get a boost that tightens the amplifier up without changing the characteristics of the actual amplifier. :)

@guncore The dual rectifier has been my favourite amp since I first owned one 12 years ago and I've been owning a total of 4 during the years. it was never a question of swapping amps. I've had my way with the savage, it's an awesome amp but I still get back to the rectifier somehow.

Best most insane skin searingly brutal tone I've ever heard. Better sound than most super famous bands who pay crazy amounts of money to get their songs produced by some fancy shmancy producer.
My ears thank you! Though my wallet doesn't...

I only started hearing Ola's review back in 2012, never seen this video before (if it wasn't posted in FB after he bought another Mesa just few days ago).

1 thing I could say: consistent sound and tone. Hats off.

I really liked it.
But to me what really stood out was the 1st solo with the other guitar.
It's one of those passages that make someone not only a good player but also an excellent musician.
