*heavy breathing*

My vote is for the 3ch. I think it cuts a bit more.

Out of of the videos you have posted, this video has one of the best mixes ever! I can't stop listening to it!

Today I learned that one dual rec sounds awesome, and the other a slightly different awesome. Loved the vid, and cool tune!

Both amps win in my book.

My dual Rec was also from 1992 and is serial number 216. She needs a little work to get back in working order, but I Love it. I also remember staring at those same ads with the armadillo way back when. You have brought back some fond memories, my friend. Be good.

I have a 3 Channel rectifier from 2008, and a friend of mine has a 2 channel rectifier made in 1995, when we sat them down and did a side by side into the same 4x12 cabinet it seems like the tone of the lead channel on the older 2-channel head sits somewhere between Channel 2 and 3, in terms of tone and grind, on the newer three-channel rectifiers. But channel 2 set to modern on the newer 3 channel model gets closer to the that big wooly sound from the older 2 channel models. That's been my experience anyway.

Excellente Fluff! That's why I LOVE the old Rectos and hate new ones! :)

I find that unboosted, the Rev E has definitely more midrange crunch while the 3ch is more scooped. But boosted, the Rev E barely change character while the 3ch gets a lot more attack and bite than the Rev. Just my honest 2 cents, awesome video :)

The 3-channel cuts through better in a mix. That's about all I can really say. Both are great!

The two channel sounds way crunchier and tighter with more mids while the 3 channel sounded scooped and somewhat fuzzier in the gain structure. You can really hear that cannibal corpse play the 3 channel since they emphasize that particular gain structure to get their chunky guitar tone.
Both are great for different styles.

Btw Fluff: Thoughts about Diezel?

rev E for me, sounds smoother and more rounded. btw, i think this was one of the best tones you ever achieved. i wasn't really feeling a lot of your latest mixes. they sort of felt distant. this is perfectly up front and in your face. liked that a lot.

Fantastic comparison vid. After listening 3 times, I go with the 3 channel. Both sounded GREAT! I don't get into all the technical stuff, just what my ear appreciates more...

You make the sickest riffs ever! The 92 was sounded pretty dark and had its moments. But I think I favor the 3 channel one. Bright tone just the way I like it.
