Coronavirus outbreak: Ontario to allow select non-essential businesses to reopen | FULL

Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced on Wednesday the gradual reopening of select non-essential businesses to begin at the end of this week, from nurseries and garden centres this Friday, hardware and safety supply stores on Saturday, and retail stores with street entrances will be allowed to open for curbside pickup only starting on Monday.

“This means people will be able to shop in stores as long as these businesses follow strict public health measures to protect staff and customers,” Ford said, repeating measures such as physical distancing, contactless payment options and sanitizing surfaces should be upheld.

Ford also announced that the government will not be moving forward with the redesign of the province’s licence plates on Wednesday, saying he was not ready to put any more resources in the project and will use the existing inventory of plates for non-passenger vehicles and that there is "no additional cost" for taxpayers.

The government also extended all emergency orders until May 19 and hydro rate relief for residences, farmers and small businesses have been extended until May 31.

So so so many people in my community from ages 12 to 50 have been completely ignoring social distancing rules and hanging out in small groups of 5-10 people for weeks, some people just wanna get this over with
