This disk he puts into the mouse is not the charging disk. It is exactly the same as the one he took out. The charging disk is solid underneath and will not allow an additional weight to be added. He must have had the actual disk somewhere else because it looks like he was able to charge it, but it was off camera.

The powerplay mat isn't a good mousepad, so I don't bother with it. The mouse holds charge far longer than anyone could stay awake using it, so the mat is really a pointless thing. This lets you just drop it on the dock to charge whenever you walk away from the computer or while youre watching a video or something where you aren't actively using the mouse. It is far more convenient than plugging the cable in. This message is for all the naysayers.

Can't charge and use so it's not an alternative to the power play mat, it's just an alternative (pointlessly so) method of charging, why not just use a cable in this case?

How are we sure that this doesn't dage the battery? Looks like they have to manually limiting max charging to 85% cuz they're not sure itll overheat/overcharge the battery. Batteries however can also be damaged by charging too quickly

This isnt even wireless charging, its just dock passthrough, save your money and plug it in normally.

This defeats the purpose of powerplay charging on the mat and a waste of money as it does exactly the same thing as pluging the charging cable in. The purpuse of the powerplay mat is to be able to charge the mouse as you are using it and not have to put it on a dock making the mouse useles as it can not be used when on the dock. I have the powerplay mat and i consider it to be very reasonbly priced as it increases my productivity in work as well as allowing me to game straight after work with out having to recharge the mouse.

I think it’s not fair to compare this to powerplay cause with the powerplay you can use your mouse hence infinite power. This is the same as using the usb that came to charge your mouse. Waste of money. Me I got a powerplay had it for two years still mint, just paired a 502x plus with it last year. Been amazing, would rather have the powerplay

still wont give you long usage as you cant use it while its chaging so pointless device
