Shortly after the birth of your baby, they will receive a routine test called the Newborn Hearing Screening (NHS). It's a safe, quick, non-invasive evaluation — so gentle they will sleep right through it!

Hearing is so important for brain development, the American Academy of Pediatrics considers hearing loss to be an urgent problem that needs to be addressed right away. That’s why the Joint Commission on Infant Hearing — or JCIH — has set the guidelines for 1-3-6.

⭐ 1 - A hearing screening by 1 month of age
🌟 3 - Hearing evaluation and diagnosis of hearing loss by 3 months of age
✨ 6 - Enrollment into early intervention services by 6 months of age
