I live at the end of a runway for a joint reserve base. Not even active mind you, there are on average 4 to 15 F-16, 18, and 35 jets flying 10 hours a day 365 days a year while we are at peace. have been for the 50 years I've been alive. I'm not sure the point of this statement. Certainly though we could end the oil shortage or feed and house the homeless or at least take care of the veterans with even a 20 percent reduction in flights.
