Hi everybody! This is just an aluminum cutting test on the bed that has improved my surface. And I'm glad the result was not a mistake. Surely this is not a good solution because the scope of safety is very small, and not for the faint of heart. 😃 Thank you for watching and commenting!!!

So many people that downright know everything. These days college is useless when you can just watch YouTube comments, and learn all the secrets of life. Please, more comments on what he should be doing that he's not. I'm sure he takes all this wonderful information to heart, and completely throws out his setup/tooling/routine/ect, in exchange for something a 40yr old unemployed man living in his mommas basement has told him. Always a load more gems and priceless information flowing from the guys watching videos vs guys actually being productive.

I just love watching CNC milling machines at work. The speed, the accuracy and the precision is something to behold. Quite mesmerising, I reckon I could watch for hours!! Thank you for sharing.

Just last night I was pounding some brews in the garage and decided to take some 1/2 inch aluminum plate and cut it with a high pressure garden hose. All it did was wash off the dust. Nice machine you got there.

Very brave with no sacrificial space to the bed! Braver than I am and I can stop cringing now. Awesome confidence and you proved it worked! How much was that piece of envy here :)

Only 0.4mm gap between workpiece and table. That is what I call man-machine trust. Impressive

Brave workmanship with the depth cut against the steel bed

That was oddly satisfying to watch. I am not sure how I ended up here.

You should try interpolation to full depth and get some troichoidal movement happening. You'd be able to run feed twice as fast and your chips won't be so tiny :-)

I know the speeds and feeds were talked about 4 month ago. I am a life long machinist I know my speeds and feeds. The book of speeds and feeds are a guide line but the rigidity of your machine is what counts. This is how to get the best result on your cuts. Shorter end mill (they are called stubbies) when it squeals like that your rpm is to high. Try about 6000 to 7000 rpm. You will need to slow the feed to control chip load. you can go 100 in min. and use coolant to avoid gauling up on the end mill! PS great looking part!

Wow! this machine is amazing, the working noise shows me how really a strong machine!

Very nice cutter. You cut fast and not even with cutting fluid or anything. Wow.

Now that is one hell of a dialed in machine. Grats.

You're a lot braver than me. I would never leave myself such little margin for error.

For some reason, this video gives me a satisfying sense of hearing and seeing

Have you experimented with changing from climb cut for a final pass? I've found improved finish with non-ferrous but that was all I tested before handing the keys to my customer. I recorded shaft vibrations induced by cutting and greatly decreased as the finish improved. Reducing feed speed while climb cutting didn't show similar benefit. Nice toy you have. Good day.

Nice. Almost looks like a shock tower for a large scale radio controlled car. Thanks for the vid.
