Chronic slicer, wrote down thees three tips, went to the range with only a driver and two baskets of balls. First 10 shots straight, light draw, small fade and good distance, 15 shots from the mat, 5 super long ones with very nice flight. After 20 shot's I went to the grass, teed up and let 'em rip. Horrible slice returned. Took a video of my self, noticed I was back to my bad old ways. Corrected myself by reading thru my notes from this lesson and having quick moment of silence and relaxed. Back to hitting, 10 more balls and the nice looking long slight draw was back, then maybe 5 last one where best I ever hit. And today I played a round and had opening shots work like never before! THANK YOU RICK!!

Rick, you are an absolute lifesaver. You fixed my swing in just a few steps. We don’t deserve a legend like you during our lifetime. Thank you for everything.

Sincerely,
Everyone’s Swing you have ever fixed.

Rick, I never leave comments on videos, but I had to say thank you. I finally, after playing golf for YEARS, decided it's time to make it more enjoyable to play than to drink. I took a part time job at a virtual golf lounge and smack shots around in between customers. Don't have time or money for lessons and started watching you more. Watched this video twice, booked an hour and FELT better shots and heard a better sound. The tracking on the sim was dead straight. My buddy whose seen my slice first hand for forever couldn't believe it. More excited than ever to get out this summer! Thanks again, Rick!

Hi Rick, this may be one of the best final driver instruction tutorials after months looking around on YouTube. You covered everything and believe it or not I've been through trial and error coming up with this but you put it so neatly and repetitive in this video. Excellent excellent excellent! Of course doing it for me comes and goes still but this is the way it's done the way you explained it for sure. I've seen the results. I wish everyone could pay attention to this video and the driver as it just will just help everything and the rest of your golfing because of the discipline and the details needed to successfully hit the ball well. Thanks again Rick great great job.

Just wanted to write this comment, even on a year old video, because I finally was able to test these tips yesterday on the course. Honestly, I hated hitting my driver. Even on par 5s I was so worried about hitting it extremely far right, that I would tee up with a hybrid or 3W just to better my chances of staying on the fairway with my tee shot... that was until yesterday. I put literally every one of these simple steps in to practice on the course, and finally fixed my wretched slice. My first shot was a slight draw, went 220 and stayed on the short grass setting me up for an easy second shot. I thought it was maybe a fluke, but every tee shot with my driver? Same results! I don’t normally comment on videos, but I just needed to give you credit for this. Your content makes things so simple to follow and understand. And the best part? IT ACTUALLY WORKS! Thank you for that. Keep it up.

Hi rick! You’re an absolute legend, I looked at a million videos but your lesson was the one that finally did it, I just came back from the driving range and hit far more ball left than I did right, I was aware I looked a bit of plonker but was over joyed to see the ball going in a different direction for a change. I then started bring my right leg forward slightly and the shot straightened up again. Absolutely buzzing leaving the range. You’re a great teacher. Thanks mate

I've been a horrible slicer for years. On a scale of 1 to 10, my confidence level with a driver has been less than 1. It got to the point where I would just hit hybrid off the tee and settle for 200 yards at a time.

I went golfing yesterday, shot 53 on the front 9. Tough back 9, 7 long holes coming up. My brother in law taught me some of these pointers that he learned from you, and I IMMEDIATELY improved my drives!! Straight lefts, soft draws, you name it. I was giving it 75% swing speed to make sure I followed these tips properly, and STILL hitting the ball 250+!!! Completely turned the back 9 around and shot 45 to finish with a 98!! WHAT A FEELING!!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!! I just became a lifelong subscriber!

Rick, I have not played in many years. I have just recently started again. I went out last week for the first time in 7 years and played extra bad (110). I have never been a YouTuber but started looking for help. There are many instructors on the net and they all seem to know how to play. However, getting the info from one brain to another is a skill all on it's own. Getting someone to understand the instruction is called a teacher. Your method of teaching, at least for me, is spot on.
I am now subscribed and looking at all your videos.
I hit a 98 yesterday after watching some of your videos and I am thrilled. 12 strokes in 1 week.
I can't wait to keep practicing your teachings and get these scores lower. But most importantly to just improve and like my game.

Thank you for doing what you do.

Your 4 step video on fixing your slice was incredible. The fixes that you highlighted in the video were spot on but even more importantly for me was learning the fundamentals of why I was slicing the ball in the first place. Knowing what to do right is more valuable when you understand what you are doing wrong.

As a new golfer, I’ve REALLY enjoyed your videos. More informative than the “pros” at the course. Thanks Rick!

This is why Rick Shiels is the best. Do you know how many people would make this a video that you have to pay for, not Rick. And it’s probably better advice than most payed videos!

Awesome video. All slicers and faders should watch this video. Steps 1 & 2 fixed my fade. Thanks Rick!

Studying this like its my job!! Changed my grip last season but its tougher to stick with for the driver compared to my irons. This is the 3 part video you previously had but much better since you compacted it all in one new video! Cant say enough great things about your channel and videos! Its some of the only stuff im watching on youtube lately. Now if the rain would only go away!! 👍🏼

Rick, I spent a little over an hour today at the driving range and within 20 shots I went from a super ugly slice to nailing 280 yards straight and consistent with the next 20 balls. I’ve been watching all of your videos and I am super excited to be able to use all of the tricks and tips I’ve learned from watching you. I was invited to play at Oak Hill CC here in Rochester so hopefully all of this work I’ve been putting in will pay off! Love your Thank you!!!!
