He’s not just representing Asians but most importantly all people who are not 6 footers who want to be hoopers, that’s big.

bro is 5'8 and can play better defense than some all-star guards. Respect.

I first saw Kawamura play in Japan. Dude was like Kidd and Mugsy in one. Quick, great hustle, and outstanding floor vision. I remember telling myself dude needs to go to the NBA.

All he needs is a floater and he’ll be the Asian Trae Young

This season will be amazing to watch, so many different teams have interesting players or combinations. EXCITED to see this season play out.

7:41 He knows he has absolutely no chance in hell of ever blocking these jumpers, so his contest was actually aimed against the shooter's face, to try to distract him and hopefully make himself miss (which incidentally is what happens with this shot), just like what Shane Battier famously liked to do against Kobe. This man has a high BBIQ and tries to do the best with what he has. Love it.

Wow, I saw him playing well during the Olympics but in these clips I’m seeing even more of his game. He’s 5’8 and boxing people out after making a pass down the lane. Sheesh, he is fundamentally sound and going to continue to be very exciting to watch. He’s a bad, bad man on that court. Love it!

As a fellow 5'8" Asian myself, I'm living vicariously through Yuki rn

Rooting for Yuki, man. The Griz would be insane to let him walk. Been watching him light up the B-League when I was working in Japan.

As a former d1 tennis player as a Japanese American who doesn’t have the tall height or huge physique, it warms my heart seeing a Japanese player with physical limitations breakthrough into the nba❤ if there is a will, there is a way!

My man Yuki Kawamura should be given a standard NBA contract...

Watching the way Yuki moves, reorients defenders, passes, and creates space I see flashes of Jason Kidd. His passes are simply amazing. A point guard like Yuki can fit on any team because he's also playing defense.

I remember him making such a good impression against my beloved Baguette country that I was almost rooting for Japan during that game. I was really happy he got the NBA attention as he clearly desserved a try at least and even more happy that his exceptionnal skillset and IQ can translate well in a sports full of beasts. So hyped up for the next season !

Reminds me of cp3 glad we’re seeing the old school point guard play style coming back and look at how much action he brings to other teammates. Every cut and player motion is an option assist for him.
