Eddie Brigati on lead vocals. Co- written by Eddie and Felix and Eddie’s brother David helped out but is uncredited. I wish Eddie had been allowed to sing lead on more songs!!! I first heard it when I was five it still gives me shivers. RIP Dino Danelli.

"Whenever I am away from you, my alibi is telling people I don't care for you". Reminds of way back when in school. Certain girls would give an attitude and tell me they hate me. I would mention it to my mom who would then inform me that the girl has a crush on me. I would ask her how she knew and she just said "trust me". That turned out to be correct most of the time.

This is the great Eddy Brigatti on lead another great singer Felix Cavaliere usually takes lead. Many great songs. Groovin, Good Lovin, I've Been Lonely too Long, It's a Beautiful Morning. Their in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and sure deserve to be there.

Rascals are a very underrated band and they have so many gems! I’m surprised you didn’t like this one enough as most who are unfamiliar with them love it..but hey I know you’ll like their other tunes 👍

This and "Groovin" battle in my mind for favorite Rascals song, with "I've Been Lonely Too Long" a close third behind them. Beautiful song.

Of all the great Rascals' hits, this is my ATF. It also was released as my family was moving cross-country so we heard it all the way on the AM radio. So many good memories associated with this beautiful tune. Also loved the use of the concertina when this was recorded...kind of gave it a feel of being in a French cafe.

This is a waltz tempo which is almost unheard of today, a hard sell to contemporary audiences. Great tune - I dig your channel.

This is one of my very favorite songs. I could tell by your reaction it didn't exactly rock your world but to each his own.

This is such a great song! The melody, the lyrics, the way it's performed is brilliant and magical! I don't know about you all, but life is full of apprehensions, fear, doubts, insecurities, among many other things! Love is the most frightening, challenging, overwhelming enterprise we can partake in! How can you say just ok? Oh man, what a dissapointment for you to feel that way! We certainly wouldn't be able to take a road trip together! There would be too many disagreements on the music! Oh well, cheerio subs!
The poor guy sang his heart out! Adios otra vez!

Beautiful song from the 60s, by a great Classic Rock Band...The Young Rascals/ Later just The Rascals.

I have loved this song from the first time hearing it on the radio. Not Knowing who this group was, they were often thought to be black.
They are a special group.
Young Rascals songs that are very popular are "Groovin, ""Good Lovin", "It's a Beautiful Morning.
In the 60s, if you got on the Ed Sullivan show, you were going places, and these guys were regularly on that show.
I just love their sound.

The vocals are mesmerizing and rightly they take center stage over the instruments. Only they were able to pull that off. Of course it was the guys who penned their music as chic songs

I imagined dancing this theme like a waltz. I like it, of course.

They were not around long but were of their time and made a nice impact like other great vocal groups of the late 60s & early 70s. Another to consider from them is Groovin, a great laid back track and a nice day in the park song. They were part of the fabric of those times, I hope you give them a 2nd chance, they a bunch of good songs. Thanks for your reaction and honesty, pleasant listening and enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
