Disrupting a scammer for a WHOLE WEEK

I attempt to disrupt a Bank Impersonation scammer called Faran for a whole week as I wait for the police to act. This one shows just how manipulative some scammers can be.

You'll see the techniques and language that he uses to manipulate his victims. And because he had a webcam, we can see him as he runs his Bank Impersonation scams against US citizens.

If you have been scammed or know of someone who could benefit from advice about scams, please contact the AVAH outreach group:

I work for Chase Bank. I am watching this video now, and paused it at the point where he spoofed the number so I could comment. When customers tell me "but they called from the number that is on the back of my card". I tell them THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF YOUR CARD IS FOR ---OUR CUSTOMERS TO CALL US---, WE WILL NEVER CALL FROM THAT NUMBER!!! Yes I know that is in all caps, and I won't apologize. I can't stress enough to people how to look out for scammers. I talk to victims Every. Single. Day! 😢

That first victim handled it so well. It's exactly how I hope my parents handle a scammer.

Hats off to the Home Depot worker for actually heeding the warning and protecting the victim.

I wish to direct this message to Jim Browning himself. On behalf of me and my family, I just want give a most sincere and heartfelt thank you to Jim Browning. Because today he intercepted on a scam call to my elderly Dad's mobile phone. We couldn't believe it. I have watched Jim Browning's videos and have watched with seething hate towards those arsehole scammers and could not believe it when today Jim Browning himself intercepted and spoke with my Dad. It was truly amazing and we cannot thank Jim Browning enough for what he did. He is a true saviour. So I say to you Jim Browning, thank you ever so much and keep those bastards down. You are a genius. Keep doing what you are doing. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻

this guy Faran must be considered a real pro. When he was cussed at, he just sat there calmly and took it, even though he was frustrated. A very rare trait in the scamming world. I bet he's like top dog in the call center with everyone parting the way everywhere he walks.

it never ceases to amaze me how people are incapable of hanging up on someone. They feel the need to be polite and keep listening. Unbelievable.

First convincing American accent I've heard from a scammer. "I can always tell his English was good, but with maths... not so much." 🤣

I love how he said “yes the phone line could be compromised” just to scare him back into compliance, not knowing the phone line is actually compromised lol

I was already disgusted by this scammer's behavior, and then he started picking his nose on top of it all. Lovely.

"The Microsoft" is a telltale sign that it's a scam...

"Never ever trust a phone number on your caller ID - it could be anyone" - probably the single best bit of advice ever.
