A month well spent :). When Dave asked me to join him and Finn for a month aboard the ‘Morgy’ I said yes straight away and joined him within the week.
Before our tour up the Scottish West coast began we set off from Ayr at the beginning of June and spent 4-5 days touring around the Firth of Clyde where we visited Brodick, Tarbert, Port Bannatyne, and Lamlash before heading to Girvan to pick up the 3rd member of our crew Andy.
With Andy aboard we then began our trip up the coast. To name a few of our stops seen in the video we visited the Isle of Gigha, Crinan, Oban, and Tobermory before a bad weather forced us to stay in the sound of mull where we decided to visit Salen, Loch na Droma Buidhe, Linnhe Marina and Kentallen before Andy sadly had to leave the Morgy.
From this point on myself and Dave made it as far as the Isle of Rum and Inverie before deciding to make our journey back towards home where we visited places such as Tiree, Jura and Gigha.
During our trip we seen mostly seen rain however from the video above you can see we also got our fair share of sunshine too.
For wildlife we seen Porpoise, Seals, white beaked dolphins and even caught a glance at a Minke whale. For birds we also seen around 4-5 different Sea Eagles, puffins, and other common Scottish sea birds.
In the end it was a great trip and couldn’t speak better of Dave, wee Finn and the Morgy. Thanks Dave for having me and I hope I get to experience this again sometime. 😊
