When the Tau encountered the imperails it was rough but they adapt faster and counter the Imperails " throw more bodies " tactics and target important key figures. Knowing if one holds together the wall, it's not that hard to destroy it.

Yes you may call them Naive but over time they learn and once they know how others work, they can beat the other races back.

Tau can be as high and mighty as they want, but let me ask this. Do you see many guardsmen running from battle?

"This is why we can't lose to such a barbaric foe", actually is the reason that the xenos filth will lose to the Emperor's blessed imperium, they have bad ass characters like Ibram Gaunt and the best the filth xenos scum "Tau" can do is generic fire cast warrior #3 and chaos corrupted farside.

I always liked it when the Tau were played as straight men. They're petty, much normal guys in a galaxy full of extreme violence and literal Uber racism
