While accepting the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award at the 2024 Grammy Awards on Sunday night, Jay-Z criticized the Recording Academy for never giving his wife Beyoncé the Album of the Year Award, despite her multiple Grammy wins and nominations.

I am so sick of this happening at awards shows. There is room for everyone. Peace starts with each one of us. Taylor deserves an apology. Beyonce is a queen. Taylor is a queen. If anyone made remarks like this about Beyonce, how would she feel? Another thing, Beyonce has 32 Grammies and Taylor has 12. What is the problem? Stop trying to put one group against another!

What is he talking about? Him and his wife live a life of royalty that they earned and built in this country. His own words- his wife has won more Grammys than anyone and he still wants to play the oppressed race card. Give me a break. What is wrong with these people? Most of them are committed to the victim mentality no matter what. My opinion, he knows this he just playing the card to try and get his wife the award one day, that's all.
