Just experimented the trick further, "Date was with timing" selected option "Fixed width", made in two sets based on column length & perfectly delivered 100s of lines in few minutes. Super helpful!!! I ended up needing to use all the different options in the text-to-column tab as my date/time formats were horribly inconsistent, but now I can finally sort things by date! Yay!
