ALWAYS SET BEFORE YOU TIE. When you are setting up a bow with a new arrow rest you should always set the height of your rest before you set your nocking points.

Love the content Dudley. Have been a huge help to me in developing myself into a bow hunter and archer. Huge thanks from Alberta.

I keep saying it, thank you for continuing to share your knowledge.

On a side note, can you get PSE to make a Mach 28. Would be amazing for saddle hunting. 😊

The position of the shelf is determined by the perfect flight of the bareshaft from 20m and may be different if the shelf is powered by a cable or limb. One thing must remain unchanged- the flight of the arrow. As a rule, a shelf with a limb drive is slightly lower than a shelf with a cable drive, so it is good to place the knockpoint a little higher in this case.

Thanks John! If the rest is set a tad higher and then the mocking point is slightly north of dead centre, even with cams timed is there any negative side effects as the shot is released? Or is it the case that if cams are timed it's all sweet?

If your broadhead is too close to the shelf, you'll know when you get to full draw, because your arrow will come off your string. Ask me how I know lol 😂
Let's just say there was a lucky buck who got away. I always check for good broadhead clearance now

These bows don’t tune at 90 degrees. Maybe if you change the Take up on the bottom cam and slow it down with brass but these bows factory style ain’t Gona be 90.
