I think it’s all acceptable. My client is Jewish and I’m Christian, she greats me with Merry Christmas and I greet her with Happy Hanukkah. Another client is Agnostic, he greets me with Merry Christmas and I greet him with Happy Holidays. If I’m not sure, I say Merry Christmas. I’ve never had anyone correct me. Some folks don’t participate at all, Happy Festivus.

I’m definitely conservative, but I still say happy holidays because it encompasses everything; Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year’s, Festivus, etc. etc.
I don’t think it’s too woke. People that are offended by saying merry Christmas have a problem, but if someone said it to me I absolutely would say it back. Yes, this time of the year is the way it is because of Christmas but a lot of other holidays occur right around now also.

Conservative and catholic here. Friends and family get a merry Christmas. Clients, random people like cashiers get a happy holidays because it stands for merry Christmas, happy new year or whatever they celebrate.
