At that point she's not asking, she's demanding support and then making herself the victim for the slightest opposition. She literally weaponized her own interest. She needed that reality check.

I’m trans and bi, and I can say, this is NOT how we act, she’s being entitled and being dumb. She DESERVED that reality check.

She is also privileged to have a family who loves and supports her. I have known too many people who were abused and neglected by their own parents after coming out. Three dear friends were kicked from their homes at very young ages and had to fend for themselves before age 15. In AMERICA no less. No child should have to go through that and she has no idea how lucky she is to have a family like hers.

Your husband did all the talking that was needed and now your daughter needs time to process the truth. She’ll come to you in time.😊

The gay people I’ve met have all said that they hatred people like her that have to bring it up and create stereo types like that

Edit:thank you everybody for all the likes! Never gotten that many on a comment before!

As a gay man I applaud the husband. There is more to our community than wearing colors that are on our flag. People use the words homophobic or transphobic without clearly don’t understand the meaning.

When I came out to my family I was scared, but my love reassured me everything will be okay.
When my family hugged me in support I knew I was loved.

The parents respecting her for being gay is them supporting her. I don’t force my family to wear rainbows to please me. Just knowing that they still see me as their son/brother is all the support I need.

She did need that reality check. Her parents didn’t disown her. They didn’t kick her out. They didn’t try to convert her to being straight.
They clearly loved her, but she was too brainwashed by what she thought the LGBT community was all about.

Anyone who lives in a war free 1st world country asking “how am I privileged“ needs a reality check…

I think you handled that well. She needed a reality check. Sadly, i think she is just "being a teenager" in a sense. She has to find out who she is. She seems spoiled, especially since that video was a reality for lots of people. She has parents who support her and accept her and a country who wont (usually) alienate her. She needs to learn the reality if she wants this to be her life.

When my sister came out, my father called her an abomination, and an "affront to god." He told her she had to get out. And that she would never see another cent from him. All that he would provide was medical insurance, "because legally that is all I have to provide." I told him he was wrong. But when she tried to leave, like he said she had to, she was going to go stay with a friend. He told her she wasn't allowed to stay with a friend. She couldn't have a roof over her head. So when she said she would leave anyways he said he was going to call the cops. (She was 17 and had my mother's permission. So legally she could stay wherever she wanted.) When I mentioned this, she headed for the door. So he blocked it. Then he proceeded to chase her around the house attempting to put hands on her. (It only stopped when I put him into a wall.) I've never had a good relationship with my father. But this was the true breaking point. I'm happy to say my sister is doing very well now. She's happy and engaged to a wonderful fiancé with a baby on the way. To hear this story is incredibly infuriating. She is lucky she never had to go through what my sister did. My sister is grateful. And she knows that had this been a different part of the world, or if I wasn't home, she may not have even survived.

She is a gay, thats fine bruhh. But being delusional is not ok, she didnt understand between "support" and actual support is, i can't blame here either cuz its a lot of influence from out that mislead her yk, her parents are pretty good, in-fact. She is growing so she needs some reality checks to grow much better. thats fine. things will ease up, some space and time for reflection is needed, like any other fight.

She's literally like

"Hey I'm thirsty you want some water as well?"

"No I'm good thanks"

"Damn how dare you act such homophobic"

I’m a lesbian. She needed that reality check and I feel like a lot of gay people in first world countries (specifically the US) also need this reality check.

She is gay, that is totally fine. I'm bi, but I don't have a problem with straight white men and I don't make being lgbtq my ENTIRE personality. I don't even bring it up unless someone asks me.

There are two types of gay people, the ones who are genuinely amazing people who are some of the most fun people to be around, and then there are the annoying gays, who make it their ENTIRE personality

This reminds me of that Key and Peele skit where Key was playing an overly outrageous and inappropriate gay guy who was constantly calling his coworker homophobic for not entertaining his antics at work and at the end he says "Ooohhh, im not prosecuted im just an asshole". 😂 classic

As a bi: DON'T talk to her. She'll figure it out on her own. She needs to figure it out on her own.

I’m in the LGBTQ, that little girl is insane! I dye my hair but I never force anyone to do anything no matter what. I love that she loves her community but she needs to chill tf out!
