Sarajevo to Mostar by Bosnian Talgo train / Railways Bosnia and Herzegovina

The best way to travel the scenic 129 km between Sarajevo & Mostar is by train, using one of the two impressive air-conditioned Bosnian Talgo trains with morning & late afternoon departures.
Sarajevo to Mostar costs 14.10 BAM (about 7 euros) in 2nd class including reservation.
There's a 20% discount if you buy a round trip ticket.
You can buy tickets at the station, there are always places. A seat reservation is required on Talgo trains, you'll be given one with your ticket.

Just left to the main station building (in the direction of Bus station) there is a post office and a branch of the raiffesein bank - they both have atm and exchange offices.

Виды за окном аж дух захватывают, невероятно красиво) Эх, вот бы прокатиться там разочек.
Удивило, что у БЖД нельзя покупать билеты заранее, это прям архаизм какой-то. И странно, что такой неплохой по комфорту поезд ходит только до Чаплины, его можно продлить было бы до хорватского Метковича, который там совсем недалеко, а то и до курортного городка Плоче, который как раз тупиком этой линии является. Но видимо никому это не надо.

Those are not Railways of Bosnia and Herzegovina because Bosnia doesn't have unified Railways. There are 2 major railway companies. The Railways of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ŽFBH) which operates in entity of FBiH and Railways of Republika Srpska (ŽRS) which operates in Srpska entity. The one you took trip with are ŽFBH and they are much better and prosper then ŽRS

Если бы в Боснии и Герцеговине жили русские, то из окна поезда мы бы увидели только заборы из металлопрофиля, различных цветовых гамм и уродства. :)
