My trade-in value for my S21 Ultra it's up to $800 and I paid 1200+ for the phone and to upgrade to the S22 ultra would cost me up to an additional 600 or more. I think I'll keep my S21 Ultra

These prices are where I thought they would be. I would love to own the s22 ultra, but I may have to wait until they offer some discounts on them.

8 gigs is definitely considered good and s22 lineup has 4gb vram. Honestly the ram wouldn't be something you'd really notice. But I definitely recommend getting 256gb version at least because 128gb of storage is never enough for ultra users.

Finally Saki is the only YTer that has broken down the pricing including the exclusion of tax which i didn't realize it played a big part in the price.

prices are right where I expected. I'm excited for the Ultra as a long time Note user. However, the standard slabs don't spark my interest as much now that I use a 512gb Z Fold 3.

The current price is 899 for the 22 Ultra without trade in and at-least 300 with trade in

I'm going with the 512 GB version of the S22 Ultra and these prices are pretty much what I expected. I can't wait for the unpacked event.

The price are as I expected and wished for, same with my note 20ultra last year. The good thing about it, they didn't priced it so expensive because it's upgraded and it's the fusion of 2 samsung lines. That makes it much better knowing the crisis all nations are experiencing now, money is so tight now a days. Definitely gonna buy for my wife as a gift

Watching this on my S21 ultra and realising what a beast S22 is going to be.

Prices are what I expected, I'm hoping incentives are good enough for me to pull the trigger on the S22Ultra. I would never pay over $1000 for a phone but then my wife and I are still running S9s that We got doing a buy 1 get 1 sale plus other discounts.

They are all overprice, especially the ultra, with the same money, we could get 1 tv, 1 ac, 1 washing machine, 1 fridge or other stuffs...

I paid a list price of 1290 Euros for my S21 Ultra (12/256) Exynos last January. So I did not pay that, as a pre-orderer I still got a lot of discount. It still works flawlessly. What about the S22? I don't want a Note, I don't need the stylus. The brighter display no longer exists in the final specs, the few camera innovations will soon appear as a software update in the S21. The Exynos clearly won the last comparison test between SD and Exynos in the S21 Ultra after the last updates. How will it be in the S22? Would it also work as flawlessly? This was not the case with the S20 I had before, which is why I switched to the S21 just a year later. Even if I could afford the luxury of switching to the S22 - no, I won't be a preorderer this year. I'll stick with my GALAXY S21 Ultra for now.

I'll be getting the Ultra but I'm keeping my 10+ as a backup phone.

Pretty much what I expected. Regardless my note 9 needs an upgrade so I will be jumping to 22 ultra and hopefully by the time I need to upgrade z-fold 7 or 8 will be good enough

Prices work. No surprise. Interested in seeing Samsung's trade in prices.

The Samsung shop app has a count-down timer for reservations. I assume the reservation ends when it launches. The unpacked event is probably on Feb 9th 10am et.

I'm actually okay with the fact that Samsung didn't come out with a Note device last year. First off who needs to upgrade their device every year, there is absolutely no reason to upgrade a phone after only having it for 1 year. Second I kind of wish Samsung would continue doing this with a model upgrade every 2 years, it gives them time to add extra features, better hardware and better design changes. I'm sure I'll get flack from people who like to waste money and upgrade a flagship phone every year but whatever, my opinion still stands that there isn't any reason to upgrade from a 1 year old flagship, heck tbh there really haven't been enough changes to the S22 Ultra to make me want to upgrade from my Note 20 Ultra, screens the same size, same resolution, got rid of SD card expansion which is a downgrade, basically the same size battery 500 mAh more isn't that big of a upgrade, same boxy design, basically the same exact cameras, both have OneUI 4.0, so yeah I'll be holding on to my Note 20 Ultra til probably 2023 and see if Samsung comes out with a better Note/S23 Ultra.
