As a pencil, I like to use the flat ones of carpenters. They are easy to sharpen, and cut the right size, it fit in the case of my compass.

Nice to see the sniper veil, i just got one for christmas to replace my shemagh, I think its a lot better, its twice the size, even made it up as a mini hammock....and can be used as same as the shemagh except for char cloth, fine water filter,

Jason, would you trust that water filter to filter chattahoochee water closer to the big city?

If i were you i would carry both of those filters. Stuff one in the other. They are small enough to carry both.
