Disney World is full of many amazing things to buy, but they’re not all perfect. Some purchases can cause some huge regret, while others can just drive you nuts as you try to cram it into your suitcase at the end of your trip. Think twice before you pull out your credit card for this stuff.

As a 19 year old, I will tell you, the fact that there was spontaneous clouds of bubble everywhere made me very happy. I didn’t but a bubble wand, but I’m so glad that parents bought their kids one.

Waiting in line near someone that had a bubble wand always made the wait significantly better

Fun fact: I used to be terrified of roller coasters, but then a kid sitting in front of me was holding a bubble wand on big thunder mountain, and I laughed so hard that now every single roller coaster doesn’t scare me one bit

The fact that those princess dresses are so expensive but are so cheaply made says something about Disney. There’s probably a crazy 500% margin on them.

Disney balloon story time:
I was in line for the shuttle to the park one morning when a cast member was trying to keep us all preoccupied by asking disney related trivia questions and giving some small prizes. Long story short, I answered the last question and won a balloon. Exciting until you realize you're not even in the park yet and you are stuck with a balloon all day!!!
So I get on the shuttle, and I just so happen to be seated across a toddler boy and his mom and grandmother. He keeps pointing at the balloon and whispering to his mom. I offer them the balloon. They took it. I did a good deed, and I didn't have to carry a balloon around all day 😂

When my parents took me to Disney for my adoption celebration, they got the food plan. For us, it was a no brainer. I was 14 at the time, so I ate a LOT!!!!

A note if you end up buying a Disney poncho: they can have a tendency to rip. If they do go to any store and tell the cashier that it ripped. They will replace it for free. My family had to buy emergency Disney ponchos and while we did pay way too much we've had about ten trips since and every time one of them rips we get a free replacement which has definitely made up for all the money we initially spent.

My family once went to Diseny and bought a souvenir popcorn bucket on the first day of our trip, it was great. We would pretty much keep it CONSTANTLY filled so we always had something to snack on. But we knew we wouldn't use it at home, so what did we do? We found a large family walking in to Magic Kingdom on our last day and were like "you're going to be here for a few more days, right? Here, have a popcorn bucket!"
Can we make this a thing? Can large families make a point to buy popcorn buckets and then donate them to other large families? Can we keep passing the same bucket along? Spread the love! Share the savings! Could also work with those refillable mugs, but since that goes in your mouth it's a little less sanitary (although bleach is a wonderful thing)

pro tip on the caramel apples from someone who had braces for years: when you buy one ask for a box and if you go out to a table service restaurant in the park/ disney springs/ downtown disney cut it with real utensils there!!

When I was 5 and my parents took me to Disney (with plenty of comfy clothes) I insisted on wearing a full-on princess costume and the matching plastic shoes around the park every single day. I must’ve been super uncomfortable but I was committed to being fabulous😂

My favorite purchase from our trip was my weighted stitch plush. Yes it was a pain at first but he was such a blessing for my anxiety and feeling overwhelmed.

As a star wars fan, the lightsaber building experience was incredible. The only ride we were told you can’t carry your lightsaber onto is rockin rollercoaster, so we just did that before our appointment.

The bubble wand was the one toy my kids Continuously played with! My son is 16 and still brings his bubble wand into the parks. It always makes a crying child feel better and often stops melt downs for little ones while waiting for outdoor shows. I’m a wheelchair user and I use a Velcro straps and I strap it on my chair. Kids love it ❤️

When I went to Disney last year, one of my friends wanted a lightsaber really bad. He scheduled an appointment to make one late in the evening, so we’d already finished all the rides and went home immediately after he got it.

I’m not going to lie: that thing was awesome and worth every penny. Waiting till the end of the day to get it is definitely the way to go.

I love my Mickey balloon 😹 As a kid, I was never allowed to get one since my parents knew they are an expensive instant regret item. However, on my girl’s trip after college, my #1 souvenir was my Mickey balloon 😹. I got it at the very end of the night on day 1, carefully deflated it before going home, inflated it at Party City, and when it finally died, I framed the deflated inner Mickey and hung it on my wall 😹😹😹 It has become a fun little joke in my family 😹

If I've learned anything from watching these videos, it's that NOBODY should be wearing high heels in the parks.

Its weird to me that the major rides don’t have some kind of locker /coat room system where you could just pay to store your stuff

I went to Disney when I was little and my most favourite memory was when my mom let me get the entire Sleeping Beauty costume from the wig/tiara to the plastic heels. We brought it home and I dressed up in it almost everyday. Totally worth it !!! I tell her to this day how I couldn’t believe she kept saying “yeah you can get that”!!!

That fuel rod is the best purchase I’ve ever made at Disney, not only is it nice to have there but I travel a ton and many many airports have kiosks there that are free to swap the battery. Phenomenal company.
