Anyone whos is trying to get a powerline adapter, make sure that the contact were your wifi is, is on the same powerline as the contact in your room. You can check this by cutting the elektricity were the wifi is while the lights in the room where the wifi is and your room are on, so you can check if the lights go out in both room. If the lights go out in bot rooms, you can use a powerline adapter. If it doesnt, a powerline adapter wont work.

Some solid tips. Sometimes your wifi or pc just isnt good enough though. Getting zero ping requires investing in some solid gear. If you have a ping below 50, that is good enough. Some pros get by with that but it is a competitive disadvantage.

I use to use a ethernet cable cat5, i didn't have a cat 6 but i do have a cat5e, when i changed to cat5e, my ping was better than ever and i use "Cloudflare" DNS since it works best for me. This video actually helped me a ton, Tysm

7:57, i actually think AUTO is better, that's at least based on what epic games emailed me directly, but i don't really think that there's any difference between manually setting it or putting it on auto. They said AUTO is better because it will track the closest server inside the region, but manually selecting it should do the same exact thing.

i used to have a cat6, i moved to a cat7, and now a cat8. it isnt as helpful if you dont dont play super competively, it helped me with not just my ping but input delay and it is even more stable for only like $10 extra i would say getting a cat7 or 8 is worth it

Also, DNS also depends on where you live, if you're far from the dns servers, then your ping will be higher. Put the DNS on whatismyipaddress and then you can see the location

I finally got fiber speeds and get 375 upload and 375 download and im ok pc with a cat6 cable and in the menu it shows on my region a 9ms ping (NA EAST) which is crazy, this is with at&t and i had xfinity before. In game it’s around 10-20 ping but that’s better than 90% of players usually in the lobbys. Same with cod, ill play at 3am and have a 19 ping
