Nails are terrible weapons. They're good at picking teeth clean so that you can continue to chew the meat you've just caught. What Humans are brilliant at is picking rocks up and throwing them at things, or just hitting things with them. The situation goes: chase-chase-chase, hit with rock, cook rock hit animal on fire, share with tribe, pick teeth clean afterwards like a smug bastard, win all the ladies with your sexy grin and hunting skills.
