oh man this song gives me the creeps. “i love you and i hate you and i’m losing my mind/ and you tell me all the time that this’ll pass and that i’m gonna be fine” is literally a sentiment i’ve heard from tons of women at the domestic violence hotline where i work. the fact both her and titanic thought the lyrics in the song weren’t a red flag shows how desensitized they both were to the abuse. i can’t imagine what she endured.
