I wanted to take the time and share some of the metrics I use when I think of Stand up Comedy.

I see these as indicators to how well you are doing when it comes to writing and performing, there are plenty of other metrics that I look at but consider these to be the most important.

Depending laughs per minute:
Isn't this metric also a little bit tricky? Like it depends also on style of the comedian and quality of the laughs?

Lovin your vids, hitting about 4 lpm, so feeling good, and started two of my own nights to increase stage time. ( hopefully getting three hours a month) after doing about 3 hours in the whole of last year. The premise bit i kinda do, try to write 5 jokes a day, or at least read through bits and see what fat can be cut and see if i can get any new jokes into an old bit.

quick question.. what's the difference between a full joke and a setup premise? Or what did you call them, where your aim is 200 a month.
