Agreed, go HOTAS if you’re not a dedicated GA person, at least initially. Because of how he massive price though, I have been recommending just going all out with the WinWing, virpil setups, there’s a wait which sucks, but it’s worth it. But the warthog is absolutely a capable HOTAS, and if you fly the A-10 a lot, the TM throttle especially is worth it. For rudder pedals, I started with the TM TFRPs and I absolutely regret it, I now have mfg pedals and damn are they nice, especially with the dampener

In regards to mounting the Class Echo. You were correct in your initial thinking that the Honeycomb Bravo throttle has the same mounting screws as the Alpha yoke. The Amazon photo didn’t show them but the Bravo has the screws.

Another fantastic and informative review OK, thank you so much. I've ordered my TPR pedals from Amazon yesterday, they are coming tomorrow, I've got the Honeycomb alpha yoke and bravo throttle but found I was messing around using my TM 16000M joystick and throttle quadrant for rudder and brake control and it's a immersion killer, so bit the bullet and ordered the TPR's. Cannot wait. PS....I've tried the lower priced kit and it sucks generally, the Logitech flight yoke I bought twice from Amazon, both had issues, I spent 2 hours messing around trying to get them to work, ended up boxing back up and returning. Bought the Honeycomb, plugged it in and was playing in 5 minutes, no set up, no messing around, it just WORKS !!!! Same with the bravo throttle unit. You get what you pay for !

The Honeycomb devices are amazing for what you pay for them (I had to wait months for them but thankfully I got them at MSRP). I laughed when you mentioned the CH rudder pedals. I had a pair of those along with the CH yoke 25+ years ago.

TrackIR is my favorite period! Best $160 I've ever spent. Great for driving simulators too.

I have the Logitech Flight System yoke and throttle quadrant. When I bought it 5 years ago, the Honeycomb Yoke didn't exist. The other options were too expensive for me, and the Logitech was a real game changer. Well, after 5 years i'm still using it, i'm having fun flying FSX, MSFS, AEROFLY FS 2, X-PLANE 11... Later i got the Logitech rudder peddals and a second throttle quadrant, and recently the Multi Panel, Radio Panel and Switch Panel and by your recomendation in this video the SPADNEXT utility for using all that hardware in MSFS.
Now. What really makes me sad is you saying my yoke is junk, is crap. I was very sorry to hear that, a little bit offended, but it won't take away the fun of sim flying from me.
It's just those two words, junk and crap... I know it's your opinion, maybe you had a bad experience with Logitech, I did'nt, I don't.
Anyway, i like all your videos, i'm subscribed to your channel, and you got my like in this one too. Happy halloween!

Glad to see you steer people away from the Logitech yoke, I had the Saitek Cessna version of that yoke and it was garbage, still have it up the attic in fact as a disappointing backup. I moved to a Yoko+, not perfect and wish I had FFB but miles better than the Saitek now Logitech offering. One thing I will say though is I also do not recommend their pedals either, it’s the same quality and similar issues that the yoke has, with terrible detent and not smooth action etc, I moved to Virpil for my pedals and HOTAS, so much better and smoother, and I maybe about to buy their more expensive flight stick base with an extension for the stick grip that will be more realistic and add more fine control for everything but especially helicopters. Which with regards to helicopters and the rudder pedals I maybe adding a damper kit modification soon that along with the very easy ability to remove the spring because it’s right there in the front will allow much better anti-torque control without having to hold your foot against the spring force all the time.

I will also mirror your statement of jumping over the cheap stuff, I’ve done it myself and it’s just false economy in the long run, as I just ended up disappointed and wanting something better. I always say now to save a bit longer and jump at least a couple of steps above.

Also the Bravo does have the mounting holes, that was a render that didn’t have them for whatever reason.

If you’re’ considering the Thrustmaster Hotas, buy the stick but skip the base and buy a Virpil base. The Thrustmaster base is made of plastic and will wear out. The Virpil is all metal ball bearings. It made DCS Huey go from unflyable to enjoyable as the precision around the center is so much better.

You forgot the Yoko yoke. Hands down the best yoke on the market

I'm interested in the new flight stick coming to Msfs. It's going to be cheaper than honey combo and also looks pretty good quality but still far from honey. In VR the best in the moment is hp reverb G2 I think is cheaper than pimax 8k. I would love to try varjo aero but I will not pay $2500, I own reverb for almost a year and oculos rift do not come even close, that's why I sold. Good content and I'm looking to improve this Christmas my flight sim, looking for honey combo or Waiting for new flight stick, I don't know when releases. Cheers

Can you use the logitech yoke flight system A320 bus?

Not sure I really like the head tracking too much. Been using my webcam with free software. It works. But it is kind of jerky. Maybe the track IR is better.

Mike, I have a chair mat under my "flight seat" and have my rudder pedals screwed/bolted to it. So when I'm flying, that mat isn't going anywhere, and neither are the pedals. Just one idea...

Sturdy and holds up? That would be my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick, bought way back in the day for MSFS X, and that i'm still using today for MSFS 2020. I also have the Logitech Flight Rudder Pedals, which i wouldn't recommend. That was a poor choice on my part. Though it is better than nothing, and they work well enough i suppose when flying helis in the sim.

Hey Overkill, just got the TPR rudder pedals and I love them, but I noticed that the left pedal is loose from the piston head, do you have this issue? If so is there any way to fix it? It wiggles back and forth, the right side pedal is fine though

Would love to spend my money on controls. I'm one of the unfortunate folks stuck with a crappy gpu due to the shortage and price hikes. Saving everything in the hopes they drop a bit. 😭

For track IR to work you just need the headset piece right?
