Dear UPSC Aspirants,
Kindly note one correction in 44th Question regarding Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY).
In the discussion it is said as, "the scheme is compulsory for certain sections of farmers, i.e., it is compulsory for loanee farmers obtaining operational agricultural/Kisan Credit Card loans for crops/areas notified by the concerned State Governments and is optional for other farmers".
But recently in February 2020, Government has revamped the PMFBY and made the scheme voluntary for all farmers for its implementation from Kharif 2020. Hence statement 4 in the question is incorrect. The correct answer for 44th question on PMFBY is "1 only".
We request the viewers to make this correction and we also thank Mr. Thiru Mala, Ms. Priya Meena and Mr. Prem Shanker, for pointing out the error.
