I actually liked that desert temples were slightly buried under the sand because that's what would happen to ancient structures in the desert.

I've never heard Mojang be so straight forward

The support for old worlds is one of my favourite things about the developers. Some of our worlds are older than new players, and they mean more to us than people can imagine.

Minecraft = Best Game.

For 9 years I’ve been playing, it just keeps getting better and better. A salute to all the devs that worked on making Minecraft better each year.

I seriously appreciate how hard the devs have worked to make this update a reality. The complexity of the re-coding is far more ambitious than any other recent update.

Every Minecraft dev seems to be very happy doing what they’re doing. No wonder it’s a great game.

Can't wait to play my now 10 year old worlds with the new generation!

I kinda wish there was an easy way to fix old chunk borders though...

this is honestly pretty cool! i won’t have to travel ten thousand blocks just to find a new biome

this actually gives a use to the looking glass and travelling with a horse almost essential. before you'd always run into trees and steep terrain but now it's going to actually be a fun ride.

I feel like this update will double the fear of "digging straight down".

wish more game studios could be more like minecraft y'know, like caring for its fans and their preexisting worlds, and making sure everything works and functions properly

I loved the part where Nir talked about the socially awkward villagers

Buulding a fantasy city will be so much easier and enjoyable with those terrains. Might as well become a cave dweller in those amazing caves.

As an older Minecraft player; this is such a welcome change. 1.18 truly has re-ignited my love for survival!

Honestly, I find the unblended chunk boarders quite nostalgic. An indication of the worlds age.
I won't knock the blending, the effort it would have taken is immense.

These people at Mojang are so dedicated to making the player experience so authentic and realistic to real life, especially in 1.17 and 1.18. It's really breathtaking.

This upcoming update for Minecraft is going to be one of the most innovative updates they'll do in a while

I remember when me and my cousin were real young and we couldn’t get off the tutorial on Xbox 360 now all I can think about is the fact that I have achieved full netherite multiple times on different worlds and getting it for my fellow players who play the worlds with me and how I can actually do things on the game without having to search it up like fighting the wonder dragon again after killing it and finding ancient debris and more, the whole point of this comment was to show my growth and appreciation with and of Minecraft and to thank the developers.

It’s been 10 years this month since I first started playing Minecraft and this update feels so overwhelming big. I’m excited but almost afraid to see the changes first hand when they come out.

The terrain blending is cool, but there's just something about chunk errors that I really like
