This is where I drew the line and decided to just look it up. So far I''ve had very little problems with this game, but here's where I think Fromsoft dropped the ball a bit. Difficult enemies are fine and all as long as they're playing fair, but invisible enemies that do massive damage are crossing the line between challenging and cheap. Kinda defeats the point of learning the patterns of your enemy when you can't see them.

Just a tip with the archers, their bows make noises before they shoot! roll around when you hear the bow noise, 3 arrows in one shot, only need 1-2 rolls to dodge, use sentry torch! reveals assassins and archers!

This really helped being the snipers and the stealth assassins running around you can easily get killed trying to find these.

That first archer can be ranged attacked from the stairs almost to the top, you'll get a couple hits in before he hides on the opposite side of the roof. Then continue with this video but once you climb the ladder his back will still be turned and you can finish him off with a couple more ranged attacks, and then only one jackass archer to deal with.

Here’s a tip as well, carry the sentry torch in left hand to make the invisible enemies visible.

I used the sentry torch and wrath of gold to knock down the assassins when they got close then just sprinted, I used a great bow to knock the archers off the roof. Good luck y'all.

God I'm an idiot for just figuring this out but wow it's a huge help. Equip the Bloodhound Step Ash of War. Nobody's gonna touch you. Why roll & run when you can teleport?

This puzzle is why i rarely ever fight malenia on new playthroughs. Has nothing to do with her being hard i love her fight but i hate going theough this stupid puzzle. The invisible enemies that do insane damage, the archers that i swear have aim hacks that also hit like a truck, the fact that every time you die you have to respawn at the grace, run all the way back to the evergol and load back into it, and thats not even mentioning that prior to all of this you have to run through a low visibility map full of gank enemies that can one or two shot you even on torent. All of that added together equals a horible time for me and i refuse to do it unless i have to. Im only doing it now because theres an item i need to farm in the haligtree for a new build i want to do.

I found the best way to deal with the archers! When you get to to the roof, before you start running across to avoid their arrows, pull out the golem greatbow, get some big ass arrows and shoot them. They will fly backwards and won't be able to shoot you any more 😁The guy on the left will fall off the building 😅 To shoot him though you will need to do manual aiming, auto aiming doesn't hit for some reason 😒
