Mike and I have moved 8 times
Показать описание
Mike and I have moved 8 times. The longest we have ever stayed in one place is 7 years. I start getting this itch to start over, create something new, and move on. And so we do.
We have been in this current house for 8 years…and I have had the itch to move for 3 of those years. Late nights scrolling realtor website, driving through neighborhoods, and constantly telling Mike “I want to buy THAT house❤️!”
But this week, something hit me. I was cleaning up the living room, looking around at all my creations, and feeling proud and grateful for this home I have raised my babies in. I noticed the scratched baseboards, the unfilled nail holes, and the kids shoes lying in the corner. I was amazed at all the things I have learned to do while living in this home. The spaces I have created with my family and the memories we have made with those who visit here.
And I was happy.
And I was content.
And I felt comfortable and secure.
And I decided I needed to stop looking to move. It’s not the time for me to keep creating. It’s the time for me to start enjoying the creations I have already made. To slow down the projects and just BE.
Be Present.
Be Mindful.
Be Aware.
and Be Filled.
It doesn’t mean I won’t move again someday. There is a lot of creating to do within me. But for now…
This. Is Home.
And I am so grateful.
This. Is. Home.
And I am so grateful for it.
