What a wonderful piece of gear for those who have to process lots of firewood. It almost completely eliminates the need to bend over to pick up logs or split wood. The design is pretty simple. A metal beak with a very pointy/ sharp tip mounted on an axe handle. So easy to use. I filled a full size truck bed up to the rails with rounds, and my back did not hurt at all. Amazing.

Just ordered one to share amongst our cottage neighbours. I also have a pulp hook which is also very effective but this removes all bending looks easier to swing piece onto pile, splitter, tailgate, etc.

Going to get one even though I just processed 22 tonne of wood. I will still have plenty more artic lorry load's to come. Just a thought but I think the squarer you lift it to the head and shaft the better. Keep up the good work fella 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
P.s. I have 2 I made from 3 millimetre box section and spikes cut and ground from 5 mill plate and welded on, fine but heavy.

I find I am slower than just picking up the rounds or smaller pieces by hand but I don’t tire near as quickly so if averaged out over several hours I get way more work done because my battery doesn’t hit zero after hours of bending over to pick up wood.

A lot back saving but how's your upper body? Arms get tired until you build up more strength?
