We finally did it! We’ve spent MONTHS learning 20 new words and phrases, we finally hit 800! 💯 It wasn’t 100% easy, but we kept pushing with the goal of mastering Japanese. Did you know we need at least 2000 words to be considered fluent? This series helped us almost to the halfway point. 🤯

You should be proud to reach this far, you should be proud that you dedicated yourself to learn a new language, you should be proud 🙌🏼

Great, but I dont get, why Japanese people sometimes purnounce ひ more like し like in ひとり which sounds to me more like "shi-to-ri", and for example word ひげそり sounds normal "hi-ge-so-ri". maybe it's just for my ears. In my native Polish, we also often pronounce words slightly differently than the written pronunciation.
