I love how there's the posters of you in a jumpsuit becoming more sad throughout the video, then a double in the jumpsuit standing behind you, then finally you changing from these fun, colorful outfits to the same jumpsuit. I feel like it represents becoming disillusioned, even though hints of that doubt were always there.

i love the end shot where it slowly zooms out and theres a kind of muted panic on your face which reflects the mood of the song and the middle 8/end of the song, its so cleverly done and makes s o much sense

Tessa and her songs vibes with me so much. The song is indeed dark. It's like she is suffering from major depressive disorder where she has insomnia throughout the night, she keeps thinking and blaming herself for what she speaks and what she does. She wants to be the best version of herself but she can't seem to do it.

She tries to be happy making her schedule tight so as to keep her mind off things she shouldn't be thinking. But as seasons pass by, she gets bored of boxing herself in, being locked up inside her own mind. She feels she has to end her life (hence ending what she started). She wants love and respect from the people she deems her loved ones but they fail to reciprocate to her, hence she feels lonely. She is hurt but she keeps it to herself. She's bored of the whole cycle of waking up and doing what should be done but not really feeling anything about it. She wants to break the cycle but it's hard. She is in a trap. Her rhetorical question " Is this all there is? " is showing a nihilistic view of her thinking. She feels there is nothing in this world than feeling hurt, mistreated and feeling shitty about herself.

She becomes a prisoner of her own mind

I find the part where the repeating phrase “is this all there is” slowly blends into “all there is is this” so interesting. It holds so much meaning and it’s kinda genius.
