How to Edit Video on your iPhone with iMovie

iMovie is a powerful video editing application that allows you to cut your video clips, re-arrange them on a timeline, add transitions, voice over music and effects.

I used iMovie for a number of years on my Mac. I now use Final Cut Pro X (I worked in TV for many years, so I already knew how to edit, just not digitally) but I really recommend iMovie for those who want to learn the skills and basics. Besides, it's free with Mac computer products (well, the ones I have anyway). Back in the day, when FCP X was over a thousand U.S. dollars (and on a disc to boot), I used iMovie for a LOT of things. I'm very happy to see some "respect" in the form of tutorials for iMovie. Keep up the good work!

I did just as you said. Your idea to select a social media site cannot work for me as the people I’m sharing a short story with are mostly over 80! They only have basic equipment. I simply want to create a link to effectively a closed group.

Now it tells me on WhatsApp that the link cannot be shared! Movie running time less than 10 minutes.

Great infovideo. How do I change the thumbnail in imovie? It seems to select a random frame from the middle of the movie. Often this is unsuitable and irelevant to the project. I want a specific image from my intro as the thumbnail. Great work.
