I am so happy that Anna won. She works so hard and has such a good attitude towards the other people in the team and to her skating. She is so beautiful to watch. I love watching Kamila too but I really felt that Anna deserved to win the games. She has had a tough season and got it all together at exactly the right moment. Russian national champion, world champion, and, finally, Olympic champion. It's crazy that she wasn't even having a great year, she was struggling in the national's, and some even questioned whether she should be part of the Olympic team. Well, look at her now.

I remember when she broke her foot some time in 2017 at just 13 and was out for the whole season. I thought her career was over but she persevered, learned how to skate again with her new conditions and just worked hard to improve herself. I believe fate has definitely played its part in paving the way to bring her where she is now, even if it involved sidelining Valieva for now. So proud to have seen her rise to the occasion time and time again. It's really her mental strength and fortitude that gives her the advantage amongst the rest of her competitors. Congrats Anna, you truly deserve everything you have now.
