Gamers Denied Steam Keys They Purchased - The Know

Developer RealAxis is denying gamers Steam keys to their game, even though they were already purchased.

simple answer, you pay for something, you should get it, no matter what the price is. or you should get your money back. that's how this should work for everything ever, regardless of price or what the scenario is. that's called fair

So now developers aren't just getting mad at pirates, they're getting mad at people who already bought their game for not buying it hard enough.

A purchase is a purchase! Someone can sue the hell out of these guys for denying keys. Feels like the developers of this game are blaming the public for not making good sale numbers... maybe the game was just shit and word of mouth (for indie games this is the biggest advertisement) only reinforced that. So what im saying is, try to salvage some reputation by not being complete douches and make a better game then!

If you put your game up for sale, you have to take whatever sales figures you get, even if they aren't what you were expecting. You have absolutely no right to steal those peoples' money. Someone should absolutely take these piles of garbage to court.

While I can understand that only 300 copies sold is depressing and that the game is only fifty cents, they need to realize that people who buy games regardless of who or what they are from are putting some trust into the developer. Refuse to give the Steam Keys after they bought the product is like a slap to the face to the consumer and more than likely they will stop buying your games because that trust is broken.

Assuming a key detail isn't being left out, this is straight up theft.

It doesn't matter, those people legally purchased a copy, so they have the right to said game.  Doing this isn't going to get people to buy your game.

They aren't right for denying them the keys... but I feel bad for them for only 300 sales...

I get what they are saying, but if you purchased it they technically can't take it back, I'm pretty sure it's part of consumers rights isn't it? If an item is advertised as a price then that is the price you pay. Even if it isn't, they bought the rights to the game within the bundle and therefore are entitled to use it, even if it was for a share of only 50 cents.
