Ankeeta Karmakar: Helping build more earthquake-resilient communities

After completing an engineering degree in 2016 from Guwahati University in Assam, Ankeeta was accepted into the Master of Earthquake Engineering programme at the University of Auckland. During the pandemic, she started her study online but this year, she finally arrived in Auckland to complete her degree. Ankeeta aims to continue on to doctoral study to help make communities more resilient towards earthquakes in the future.
