Nvidia shares fall after analyst downgrade

US computer chip maker Nvidia, which briefly became the world’s most valuable company several weeks ago, has been hit with a shock downgrade.

On Friday in America, an analyst at a company called New Street Research downgraded the business from buy to neutral, saying the stock is getting fully valued after a monumental couple of years.

Nvidia surged around 154 per cent in 2024 alone, on top of rising more than 200 per cent the year before.
