I think the second objection, where this is too idealized, may be the strongest objection. If we look at history, we see the majority killing off minority groups and deeming them subhuman, thereby making it more palatable for the majority.
The archetypical example nowadays is the Holocaust: a dictator decided to kill off Jews, homosexuals, political prisoners, racial minorities, etc., and there were even cases of civil disobedience. But we see empirically that civil disobedience did little to change the public's mind.
In the USA, a majority of people never approved same sex marriage when it came to a ballot measure. It took a controversial Supreme Court ruling where the 4 descending Justices each wrote their own opinions saying why gay people shouldn't be given the right to marry. Sometimes reasoned debate fails because one side doesn't see the humanity of the other.

Is there a term for government disobedience to its people?

Civil disobedience today would simply be refusing to participate, you could literally be arrested for refusing to participate!

stop wasting your time trying to match the hand with the computer graphics - it distracts from the video.

Unfortunately, this speech is incoherent. Mumbling and speaking too fast doesn't help in teaching. Please train yourself to speak slower, and use simpler analogies. The point of youtube is to appeal to the masses, not your informed colleagues. Thanks
