Credit card rewards programs - are they good or are they bad? It really has to start with whether you are good with your money. If you have credit card debt, a low credit score, and no savings in the bank then it is definitely bad. But...if you are very good with your money and have no bad debt with savings in the bank then I think credit card rewards are awesome!

I have been able to take many very nice vacations using credit card rewards points. With a little research and effort, it is very realistic to get a few thousand dollars worth of rewards in a very short period of time. Of course, there are some rules of thumb and things to watch out for before starting down this journey.

I haven't used a debit card in years. If you are not taking advantage of these points, you are cheating yourself! But it is tricky getting started, easy to get in over your head. Be careful.

Wow - very timely video. I just bought windows for my house and put them on my credit card. I’m finally getting on a plane in June - using my points. I use Capital One A Ventura One - a basic card.

unless your making a big purchase. this won't work for most. i don't spend 3k in 3 months, if you don't include the mortgage. and the bank won't take a credit card.
