I loved this scene! The fact that her dad didn’t care that his daughter was dating a girl or human and just asked if it was Eda’s kid ahhhh it makes my heart melt 🥺

I love how she doesn't even have to come out and Alador just doesn't care at all about the fact that Luz is a human girl, completely perfect scene devoid of homophobia and just makes me so happy!

I’m so happy that Alador says Edalyn’s Kid and not something about how Luz is a girl, I love how accepting the Boiling Isles is! 🥺

I love that Luz always gets name dropped as Edas kid!

I love how Eda just automatically adopts Luz
(She even called Luz her child which I find is very sweet)

We need more stuff like this. He doesn't seem to care that Amity dating a girl. In their world it's like it's normal, and no one really cares. I love that.

I love how he was more confused that luz was eda’s kid than anything else

I love how Alador simply asks, Edalyn's kid? And not something like, You dating a girl! This show is great!

I like how even this reaction from Alador, isn't even negative one. He just wants to confirm who is Luz. And that blush is placed pitch perfectly.

the fact that he just accepts that Amity is dating Luz immediately without any kind of "focus on your studies" or "but she's a human" was honestly so nice to hear. His first thought was basically just "oh really? wow didn't expect that", and just immediate acceptance. Plus him referring to Luz as "Edalyn's kid" just got me I love how open the show is with found family

all in all, his reaction was so nice, it was excellent writing and voice acting from the cast.

Although this scene *isn't* really Amity coming out, it's still an important scene! I think Dana said once that homophobia straight-up doesn't exist on the Boiling Isles. Amity confronting her dad about his negligence and how he doesn't pay enough attention to her, that's good communication right there.

I love how Alador thought Luz is Eda’s KID, and not just someone staying there temporarily.

So, he didn't care that Luz is a girl or a human, just that she is Edalyn's kid, which I find cute, because he reacted the same way Eda did when Luz told her she wanted to date Amity.

Also, I feel this two parents don't hate each other, but that they are very competitive among each other, like Eda remembers Alador being good at wrestling and Alador is curious about her harpy form, but none of them seem to have a problem with those facts, they just want to do their stuff and their children to be happy

I see Alador as "the one goofy villain that doesnt even try to be a villain"

Love that everyone acknowledges Luz as Eda’s child, including Luz herself.

I don’t think anyone comes out in the demon realm, like in Shera everyone seems to be unlabelled from the moment they’re born

Lol! He wasn't surprised because Amity is dating another girl. He was surprised because Luz is Eda's kid.

I love that by this point, Luz is recognized as not "the kid that lives with Eda" but "Eda's kid."
