Gulfport Florida | Things to do in GULFPORT | Pinellas County FL

Come with us as a we spend a day in Gulfport, Florida. In this video, we’ll show you some of the many things to do in Gulfport, an eclectic seaside town that represents the best of old Florida and is a true Pinellas County gem.

We started our day in Gulfport at Gulf Perk, one of two highly rated downtown coffee shops. Not only did Gulf Perk provide us with a much-needed pick me up, but we also found it to serve some amazing breakfast sandwiches.

Next, we drove a few blocks up Beach Boulevard to Clymer Park, where we found a unique art-walk. We enjoyed the colorful wind chimes, statues, flowers, and butterflies along the path.

After finishing the art-walk, it was back to downtown Gulfport where we explored some of the downtown businesses before stopping into Gulfport’s only Brewery. We were excited to sample some of Gulfport Brewing's own brews as well as some guest taps, and we were not disappointed.

Next, we decided to walk to the bay front to check out the pier, the beaches, and some of the bayfront businesses. We enjoyed the beautiful weather as we walked down Beach Boulevard, but upon arrival at the bayfront, we discovered that wind had picked up significantly and a storm appeared to be blowing in.

Determined to explore the bayfront, and despite the weather, we walked to the end of the pier before walking along the nearly empty beach. After our beach walk was complete, we could tell a storm was rolling in, so we decided to find a fun place to take cover and ride it out.

We found our way to the rooftop bar at Caddy’s, which we found to be the perfect spot to ride out a storm with some delicious drinks.

Once the worst of the storm blew through, we were off to the second of downtown Gulfport’s amazing coffee shops, Sumitra Espresso Bar. We were impressed with the variety of beverages offered at Sumitra beyond those of a typical coffee bar, and we both enjoyed our drinks while planning out our final stop of the day for dinner.

We ultimately decided to eat dinner at Habana Café, and it was a great decision. We shared a sampler with three delicious, authentic Cuban dishes, and we thankfully saved just enough room for the cream cheese flan dessert.

I can't believe your day started out so sunny...how quickly the weather had changed! I don't think I have ever seen a blue heron up close in real life...it looked like it was about to blow away in the wind. Mmmmm, the Mexican chocolate espresso looked yummy! The coffees and avocado toast at Gulfperk look amazing! The downtown area looks so cute! There seems to be A LOT of art in all of the areas you visit, love it!
