This song is so sad. I had a cousin with cancer. She died quickly because by the time they finally knew it was too late. The worst part? 16 months old. Had just started talking more. She’s still in my prayers. Great job rutabaga. And my heart goes out to all the others that have lost their loved ones to cancer. 💗

This song is now so special to me it's surprising how well I can connect to it
My grandma died after going through cancer for the second time
my aunt stayed by her side the entire time
We had to go to her house to gather her possessions but even then a lot of her stuff still sits where she had originally put it
Sadly She was divorced and quite lonely so we visited a lot but she never remarried
And the most saddest is on her death bed she was so weak and the chemo was really hard on her body being an older age she had to go through loosing her hair again and her mouth was so dry we had ice cubes to try and help her but even then it didn't work
In the end she didn't make it from sudden kidney failure on top of it
She peacefully passed at a ripe age of 83
I thank her for my awesome dad and we both miss her very much
