State Department spokesperson Matt Miller responded with a statement:

“On principle, we do not talk about private diplomatic exchanges. That still stands. I won’t talk about the validity of this document. Nothing in these purported comments shows the United States taking a position on who the leader of Pakistan should be. We had expressed concern about the visit of then-PM Khan to Moscow on the day of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and have communicated that opposition both publicly and privately.”

1 journalist has been killed because he was talking about regime change in Pakistan, many journalists have been beaten and arrested. Even 1 journalist has been kidnapped by the police from 90+ days and police is denying his kidnapping but all Pakistan has seen the video of police officers taking that journalist to police van.
