Reacting to Character Rankings in Game of Thrones

Taking a look at 4 lists regarding character rankings in Game of Thrones, I WAS NOT EXPECTING IT TO BE THIS CRAZZZYYY.

Theon lowkey had a character arc from beginning to end. Can't say that for most characters in season 8

In fairness to the list that had Bran 14th, I think they may have only considered who were the "main characters" and then put Bran last.

The wrap's list is low key genius. Hodor's placement had me rolling. Then there was Qyburn on 5 and Grey worm on 2.

Ned Stark may have only been in 1 season, like you said, but he had a lot of screen time. More so than characters like Robb Stark despite being in more seasons.

And no love for Meera Reed (both in the show and on these lists). She really deserved better.

I don't like it when people dislike Sansa only beacause of her "passivity" in the early seasons. She's in a very bad situation and does the best she can do to survive, plus she also tries to help here and there when she's given the possibility like saving Ser Dontos for example by kind of outsmarting Joffrey.

I honestly feel that the less they were in game of thrones the better the characters were. Oberyn, Bobby B, Robb, Ned, Tywin, Joff all had the advantage of not being dragged down by dogshit writing. Essentially if you made it out before season 4 they got away pretty unscathed.

Comparatively characters like Jon, Tyrion, Arya were on the same level of great (if not higher) but then season 7 and 8 happened.

Jaime Lannister has one of the best arcs and should therefore be an easy top 5 (at the very least top 10) slot. But if you consider the whole scope of the show, he plummets hard due to the 4th and 5th episodes of season 8.

Think it's hard to make a list just based off of how no one really escaped the deconstruction of D&D.
