Celebrating National Bird Day: Honoring the Elegant Tern!

Happy National Bird Day! Today, we’re excited to share a look at Rubellite, our beloved Elegant Tern, whom we had the joy of observing at Crystal Cove Beach on January 19, 2024. Sadly, Elegant Terns confront many human-induced threats, putting them at risk of potential endangerment. According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), they are currently classified as "Near Threatened" (NT), signifying their vulnerability to endangerment in the near future.
