I wish that Ms. Havrot's work is taken by the school boards and made available to all grade 12 students. She explains the questions in such a manner that is so easy to understand for a student. Great work Ms. Havrot. We need teachers like you in society.

Hello Mrs.Havrot's, for the question at 3:04, is it still right if we solve t by subbing in the x y z values for each of the three equations individually? By doing 3 = 1 + t and then solve for t, 4 = 0 + 2t and then solve for t and then the same thing for z, and then compare all three of the t values if they are the same. Would that be right?

if you want to find direction vectors, you subtract the x's and y's and z's, but what if there is something like (-4, 5, 6) and (0, 0, 0). Then isn't the direction vector just (-4, 5, 6)? But if you do (0-(-4), 0-5, 0-6) the signs change. So which one is the direction vector? Thanks

i am having a bit of a problem with these type of parametric related questions
2. Line L1: = y-4/2=x+1/-1=z+1/3 is perpendicular to line L2, which passes through A(1, 3, -2).
Determine the parametric equations of L2.




3. Determine the parametric equations for a line that is perpendicular to the yz-plane and passes through X(–2, 4, 3).

any guide or help would be appreciated :)

question 5 c, on page 449, is the answer in the textbook wrong?
