Sleep in the day, move at night. Look like you are suffering when not. Learn to place supplies in hidden drops at locations with lots of cover, grass and dark corners are great, but make sure to mark them. Tape up windows and place bars in the sills so they can't be opened all the way without breaking the glass, which will be made tougher by taping them with duct tape. No one wants to crawl bleeding through broken glass stuck to tape strips. Wedge the doors and put wind chimes on the knobs for alerts. Smaller and smaller is better. Also stuffing your clothes with needed hiden gear will help to keep you warm by creating air spaces that your body heat can warm. Look for objects to use as weapons or tools. They are everywhere if you look. Learn signing for communication and set up schedules with your team of departing and returning. Learn to hike. Shoes and boots are better than loud cars that will run out of gas without refueling and get stuck in traffic jams anyway. Stay away from roads as they are killing pens, think road rage times a million.

Checking your other vids and, "well done"..Working on usable shutters that are nice looking when open but thick enough to protect windows..when shut.. Cuts down light but all is trade off.. Add roof insulation, added 4in and made quite difference here in N.H..Older 3br. 2 ba ranch built 1977... All metal doors (cored) and re screwed all hinges/ handles, latch.. Am a Ham radio op and have a few folks in the county like minded but keep it on the down low.. Look into MURS freq's for comms, removable ants on many and big diff on range, using a outside ant..2wts. but on the vhf, not uhf for more distrance.. As always NO comms ( except encripted public safety PL tones and digital codes are all the identifiers.. Cheers

Read somewhere that a fire in a wood burning fireplace is best at night. Harder to see any smoke at night. Also a good idea with a well hidden campfire.

Best thing to do is look like you're not doing anything. Be Stealthy and keep yourself looking civilian. Your Group also if you are organized.

Thank you. I think that you addressed one of my nagging concerns----reducing the smoke from a warming fire during cold weather. I saw another video today that suggested masonry heating. I'm not sure if that is better than a wood burn 10:28 ing stove, but it seems that smoke coming from a chimney would call attention if you are trying to avoid drawing attention. Thank you again, Dustin.

I don't know if this will work, but I got some of that old fashioned, metal "pipe strapping" with the hole in it. I intend on placing 2 strips across my single hung windows when it gets bad. Screwed into the stud, I doubt if they will have cutters with themselves. That way it will still open but make it hard to squeeze into I guess you realize I am on social security and on a tight budget...lol

Left food waste, a lot of it you can feed to your live stock like chickens, turkeys, goats.

When I drove truck and cutting up highway 30 in Wyoming and Idaho, there was a house that used hay bails for a windbreaker during the winter. Guess what you can’t see at night?
Any lights or glow from the house.
